Indicators staying on

Post by bloodyank »

I think I know the answer to this one, but thought I'd ask anyway. My indicators (blinkers over here) are not flashing. Stalk indicator light stays on all the time. Flasher unit bad?

I'm with you...sounds like the Flasher can / unit has gone.Power is getting to the unit to enable the warning light to work.

The contacts will have 'welded' together. You may be able to open the can and clean them up.....

So, I replaced the flasher unit from a parts store here and hooked up as before, but now it flashes, but the indicator on the stalk does not light up...?

It's the wrong flasher unit then ! Does it have 3 connectors? Better to open the old can and gently release/clean the stuck contacts.
