Bonnet Prop Clevis Pin

It doesn't seem like you can buy new clevis pins for the bonnet prop and mine have decided to snap. Rather than use a nut and bolt does anyone know offhand whether there is a clevis pin for another part of the car that will fit? Cheers

The clevis pin you require is Pt No: ADA24656 and yes it seems to be no longer stocked at any of the usual suppliers.
Try club spares or 'e' bay.
Currently two bonnet stays on offer - 'e' bay items No: 301240450490 & 111409806748. Unfortunately both have only one clevis pin each.
Best of luck.

Thanks, will give Bryan a try. Hopefully somebody has had the same problem and knows whether another pin might work too.

See if a builders merchants will give you a 6 inch wire nail, I think that will be the right diameter, then cut off leaving about 3/8 '' (10mm) and drill a hole for the split pin.

Some good suggestions thanks. Will have a mooch around and see what I can find. Not too many Yacht chandlers around here though, couldn't be further from the sea (Yorkshire Dales)

Not much call for ships chandlers in the Yorkshire Dales admittedly.Try a different tack ( sorry for the nautical pun ) go to an
Agricultural Merchants/Farm implements store.
The Dales are lovely part of the world.

If you have a friend with a lathe get one turned up, I am lucky as I have a lathe in my home workshop, so mine was made that way.
Someone had put an M6 screw in mine, just looked awful.
I fitted mine with a hairpin clip/r clip so it can be easily removed.

Thanks for all the suggestions. I've just tried the handbrake clevis pin and that's too large.
