Wondering what members find best for aerosol paint suppliers. ( in my case Smoke Grey BU 15).
Some time ago I got an aerosol can from ESM, which was a very good match. Now they won't post unless with a large courier order.
I recently got a can from another supplier & find that it is shades darker than it should be.
When I've spent hours prepping an area to paint, getting everything right etc. & then find that it sticks out like a sore thumb 'cos the colour does not match well, it's a bit of a sickener to say the least!
Hoping someone can suggest a good reliable source of aerosols.
regards
Chris

I've used this firm in the past. They will do aerosols and post.

My 1965 Smoke Grey Traveller has just come back from the paint shop having had just the front half repainted (when I have sorted the wood later this year, the rear will be done). The front half is a much deeper blue than the rear and the painter said that there were "2 Smoke Greys" and he had used "the correct one for 1965". I can only find reference to BU15 Smoke Grey but did notice a variety of shades at the National. Is this a Grey area?
Hang on! Just noticed that you refer to Dove Grey as BU15, that is the Smoke Grey reference!
Dove Grey is GR26 according to what I have read, is that why you have got the wrong colour?

Thanks for the suggestion, Lou.
I should try them.Their prices seem good too.
Were you happy with the quality & colour match?

Couldn't faulty quality of goods, delivery etc (no dented tins!) I rang them and asked for BMC Clipper Blue 1961. Not only did the guy answering know the colour but he knew the correct code! Good celly paint sprayed like a dream - although we had 2 ltrs I know people who have had the cans.

For those in the US, APS Tower Paint has paint for our Morris Minors. The tell me they have Almond Green for my 67 Traveller and I have ordered some touch-up paint. I will update with what i find.
