So, to sum up, you want a paint that is NEITHER gloss nor matt()

If you buy a tin of gloss paint - along with a tin of matt paint - then you mix them
in another tin,you SHOULD get a happy medium(?)!

I'll lock the front door as I leave...

Uh?

This is Gloucestershire!

You have to blow out the candle just in case it falls off the tin bath and
ignites the straw on the floor!

All joking aside you haven't really made clear what you are asking? Are you asking opinions on painting your car in a satin finish? If so why? It's your car and you can do whatever you wish to it.If you are asking whether satin finish paint is available of course it is.Even your standard moggy colours can be made satin or matt.Go to a decent paint factor and they will make it for you.If you've already got gloss the same factor can add matting agent which, depending on the amount he puts in will change it from gloss to satin to matt depending how much he uses. The finished car will be hard to keep looking good in my opinion.Polishing, which preserves the paint finish from the elements also makes the finish shiny which is an effect you won't want.

There a guy round the corner from me who 's had his merc finished in a satin type finish, its been done in 2pack and at first I thought it had been badly sprayed,ie too dry dusted top coat,I pass it every day and at first thought it looked cr......p but with time I now think it looks f...........g sh...........t,just looks as though it wants a good compounding,I have spoken to him he loves it ,but each to their own.
