Back to Morris ownership, saying hi.

Hi all.
I had a 1968 Minor saloon 3 or 4 years ago and sold it to fund other things. I've always regretted it and have recently been on the lookout for another, trouble is they seem to have gone up in value since I last had one.
Today I've picked one up, a smoke grey (looks blue to me!) 1966 2 door saloon. It looks pretty tidy from a few feet away, when you get close up the panels aren't great, paints not very great, the interior is pretty shabby & it's got a hole in the boot floor :o .
But it drives nicely, has 12 months mot and comes with stacks and stacks of history & receipts, and it was cheaper than most that I've looked at so hopefully it'll prove reliable enough to use regularly while I attend to most of its cosmetic & mechanical issues.
It's lovely to be back in a Minor :D
Neil.

Thankyou for your welcomes, I'm sure I'll have some daft questions to ask while I'm getting back into it. It has had a few "improvements" done to it that I'm not sure about like electronic fuel pump ( I miss the nice clicking of the original type). Electronic ignition (worries me a little that it might leave me stranded at the roadside, at least with standard parts you can carry points & condenser & it'll usually get you home). It has an alternator instead of the dynamo which I guess might not be a bad thing, although there's little wrong with a good dynamo.
Cheers.
Neil.
