Can anyone advise if there is a cage or dog proof shield out there that will fit a traveller. I would prefer some form of security bars to a cage. Charles Ware say that none are available out there. Any ideas folks?

Cage will go in easily(unless you have a great dane)and there are plenty of universal barriers on Ebay with extending legs, just have a measure up in the rear of your trav.

There's not enough room for a cage in the back of a traveller, best to lay the rear seats down and try to fit a shield behind the front seats.

Thanks for the suggestions. It is a legal requirement to keep your dog secure in your vehicle. I have 12 year old retriever and a retriever puppy. The latter is into everything and won't stay in the dog basket in the back of the traveller, hence the need to make her and us safe when driving,

I'm all for keeping dogs safe in cars but worry about confining dogs too near the rear in case some clown decides to run into the back of the vehicle.

Thanks for the advice folks. I have been given a steer to Halfords who do a dog barrier for "small cars". It's a self assembly one. I shall pick it up tomorrow and see if it fits. They couldn't advise on whether it could because the pack does not give any dimensions! Watch this space..............

The Halfords dog guard has gone in ok. It's a pressure fit one. It basically stops the puppy from vaulting the back seat, which was my major concern. Don't think it would be strong enough in a serious crash though. Thank you all for your thoughts on this!
