Hi ,
I am struggling to get hold of the gearbox mountings for my morris with the side valve engine. I believe they are different from the OHV engines. I was wondering if any one has had the same problem and know where to source them from .
Many thanks Dylan

Re: Morris Minor 1952 side valve gearbox mountings
The Series MM gearbox mountings are nothing like the M1000 mountings although the M1000 gearbox mountings will fit the Series MM engine mounts. I think that the Morris 8 mountings can b adapted to fit. Provided that you have the metal parts it should not me too difficult to bond them with a rubber cube. talking from a complete lack of experience

Re: Morris Minor 1952 side valve gearbox mountings
Hi Dylan,
yes they are very different. I checked ESM and BMs websiter and both out of stock. It may be worth trying club spares or phoning some of the other specailist, Tom Roy seem to keep quite a good stock of parts.
I fitted new ones about 5 years ago and they were a very poor fit and required a lot of drilling and filing out of the mounting holes to make them fit the crossmember.
Good luck with your search.
