Front seat foam

Post by Andrew63 »

I have a 61 2 door, and managed to get some new webbing from the rally on Sunday, is it advisable to take out the old foam and replace it completely, or put a thin layer of foam between the old foam and the new webbing, or leave the old foam in altogether? The old foam seems to be glued in, although that might be because it have been in for 52 years.

i would replace the old foam, you may well find that it has been cut on the underside by the webbing and it is likely to have colapsed over the last 52 years
