Hello...'Pidge' (PDG 457G) is having a temperature gauge fitted. I recently bought a oil/temp combi gauge and have successfully fitted the oil part but the temp is causing me a bit of trouble. Already I have a temperature sender fitted to the cylinder head and works fine ( I tested it on another gauge) However my question to the forum is: The temperature gauge which I'm fitting seems to run off a heat transfer rather than electricity from the sender to the gauge. How could I modify this so that the gauge reads the temperature which the water is at?

lo, you cannot modify the "capilliary tube" type guage which you
seem to have to run off an electrical signal. These double guages
were commonly used on MG s. Unless the thread on the end of
the sender is the same on both, they are not interchangeable.

Thanks for the advice this is true, the capillary tubing isn't compatible with the current sendor - never mind I'll search on eBay for a different gauge! But thanks for your advice!
