Hi all.

My 1950 Lowlight is still has its original seat material but not in leather. (I don't know the correct name for it).
Please could I have some advice on what products to use to 'feed' the covers so they don't feel so brittle.

The material is known as Vyanide. Once the material has hardened and started splitting at the seams there is not much that can be done with it, the material is too fragile to re stitch. Seat Covers or re upholstery is the solution

The seat covers are still complete with no splits around the seams or at the stitching.
I just feel the material is a little brittle and wonder if there is a suitable product that could revive it, perhaps a type of leather food solution or equivalent?

I have tried leather food without much success other than it makes the car smell nice! Once the material goes hard it does not absorb the polish. It is usually the driver's seat which wears first so swap the driver's and passenger's frames over to even the wear
