my name is peter im from Glasgow and I have just bought a new house . how ever the last owner had 2 lockups . so I have inherited them in the sale there is 2 good bmc cars here in very good condition I contacted the last owner . the gentle man has told me he is too old to remove them and to do as I wish with them .so therefore first come first served there is 1 morris van yellow in colour . also 1 2 door almond green saloon car . I would like to give them away free to see if anyone will put them back on the road I have checked they don't need welding and paintwork look pretty good .pm me and I will give anyone the address to come collect there is also a lot of spares engines gearboxes axles etc boxes upon boxes . please if anyone wants these pm me im trying to get rid before end of next month regards peter simon

It does happen, my convertible was a freebie on the condition that I restored and didn't break him up. I even kept the name (Dibble) and still do weddings as the previous owner did.

BTW, even if the cars appear to need no welding, they could still require quite a bit of work to get to MOT standard.

Sounds great to me - but I've just been given a stern warning.....from SWMBO.....

Peter just a thought,and your generosity is overwhelming to be honest.If you personally dont want remuneration for these have you thought of possibly giving them to the people that make the best offers and donate the money to the gent that did own them?He may welcome an unexpected windfall.It may be worth your while having a quick look on this forum and Ebay to get a very rough idea of their value.The van especially,as they fetch really good prices even if isnt quite as good as you think from a quick once over.Then if you decide to take this course you will at least know if any "interested" parties are trying it on.

hi to all I have spoken to the original owner and he assures me he wants nothing for them . therefore he said as long as the person persons promise to put them back on the road he is happy. also these are not scrap these are motd able within few days . I assure you but if anyone wants I think and so does the owner that anyone who comes takes items if they wish they could make a small donation of their choice to charity . which I personally thinks is good enough also its save them from just rotting away unused . I am currently working my way through pms will contact every one shortly many thanks peter

The OP 'happyjoe' has just posted a number of foul mouthed messages aimed at the club and members of this forum who replied to his offer. It seems that this was a 'hoax', possibly by the same messageboard member who was banned on Wednesday (and has been banned by another forum) due to his foul mouthed rants

Even worse for us as we have been messaging the guy most of last night, have arranged to collect ie hired a transporter, then this morning not had a response, we are very trusting and didnt expect a dishonest offer. however we have learnt the hard way!!!

To be fair the offerer has not been rude, abusive or foul mouthed in anyway in fact has been very polite. but this morning he has simply not responded to his kind offer...

Our time could have been used more productive.

I think we should be notified of who has just been banned given that we all go to mm events and the individual should be banned from the events, bare in mind we have just lost money because of his lies and fabrication. surely the individual had to pay his subscription fee to create his new account, obviously he like giving money to the club.

I recommend men in white coats take him away!!!
