Front seat position

Strange request, I know, but would anyone be able to give me the height of a standard front seat, measured at the front and rear of the cushion?

I would like to adapt the frames of the non-standard seats fitted to my car so they sit in a similar position to the originals – but I don’t have the originals with which to compare!

The car is a ’66 two-door, although I would guess all the seats are the same.

Of course, if anyone in has an old front seat they don’t want, that would be even better – because it would allow me to continue to use the car while the seats are being modified!

Thanks all

The point of non standard seats really is a(better comfort) b(seeing reasonably out of the window).

Get them shaped to whats best for you.

I have a feeling MM and 1000 seats differ a little.

The front seats of the Minor changed over the years and only the driver's seat is normally adjustable for legroom. The passenger seat on the earlier cars had tip and tilt adjustment and the later cars were tip only.
If you are fitting modern seats you would normally need an adapter base and once fitted you can adjust the height of the seat by fitting blocks between the base and seat.
