I just came back from a test drive after having replaced the distributor. Big differance. The old one couldn't be adjusted since it was just about totally stuck to the engine block. Sometimes violence is the best way to solve problems

Before I did the transplant I did some reading and there is a lot written about the vacuum line from the carb to the distributor. No line has been present in the Moggy during the time it has been in my family. I thought now was the time to get one fitted but there is no place on the carb where a vacuum pipe can be fitted

Does that mean the car isn't fitted with the appropriate carb or do some Minors look like this? It is a 1957 948cc.
