Like, after getting rid of some spares, I think I now need some.

I understand that these are handed, and different front to rear (and differ from 2 /traveller ones)

For fitting , after a fiddle around the door handle I think they are held in place with just the one screw, yet there seem to be refernces to retaining clips, I cannot see where any of these may be (or go)

I seem to have wrong? sizes?
For the 4 door there appears to be a shorter, more curved but less deep screw retained end, is this for rear doors only or can/should I use on front too. I understand on the 2door/traveller the internal door handle this is bit longer and requires a longer retaining set screw and washer?

Am I incorrect in my assertion in this?

Please assist my confusion/s

On the escutcheon, The retaining clip is part of the escutcheon moulding to be found at the opposite end of the threaded retaining screw bit...

The curved door handle is the rear door and unless anyone else corrects me, the front handles are identical across the range regardless of 2-door, 4-door or traveller.

Hope this makes sense.

exterior handles are different for 4 and 2 door
4 door saloons vans and pick ups are the same
2 door saloon, travellers and convertables are all the same, except in some instances the passenger side did not all ways have a lock

On close inspection I seem to for now good enough escutcheons for the four door.

They are differnt for each door, (front doors marginally longer than the rear doors), and the retaining threaded lug is uppermost on each side.

Door Handles 4 door Front, saloons vans and pick ups are the same (But Handed of course)
Rear Door 4 Door Saloon Handles are the more curvey type and have ridges to locate into the C pillar retaining plate.(and are I think handed.

Of course the N/S rear handle that I have does not seem to fit the car(new(to the car)) door fitted and, unless I need to fiddle the remote control mechanism a bit more, at present I cannot get the handle far enough over the screw in the escutcheon plate.

The original handle needs re-chroming and a (new?) spring fitting as for years it merrily flopped in its horizontal plane.

My front drivers door handle does not seem to be catching the release mechanism, looks like more fiddling needed.
