Evening All. Now that England have crashed out of the world cup normality can resume and I can bother you all with newbie questions about my traveller I just bought only hours ago.

My questions will range from asking just exactly what colour do you reckon it is (I know its hard to tell from a photo). Its says grey - so I'm thinking smoke grey - but does have a tinge of blue to me.....

To what would you suggest about whether it worth mending a bit of poor filling work on the roof

To suggestions about doing something nice with the boot floor (Im thinking lining it with different coloured wood strips that Id then varnish).[frame]Image[/frame]

Anyway - photo of my new lovely car (well I love it anyway).[frame]Image[/frame]

This link may help you with some of your questions, there is a section on paint which should be of use to you for your paint query.

Welcome to the forum! It is indeed a v nice Traveller, and unblemished with any tacky 'accessories' - probably 'smoke grey' - but someone who REALLY knows will beb along soon!.. I do hope you have good 'covered storage' for the Traveller.

Have a cover that I will use until I sort the door on the old stables that came with this place which will be an ideal place to store the car from the worst of the weather. Doors need opening up a bit I think.... then it should have a nice snug home!

If you go to the charles Wares website they have a list of all the original paint colours that you can buy or like most people you can take a sample to b&q and let them do a mix for you. I didnt know what green my traveller was as there are sooo many greens but i eventually found it on charles wares.

it looks like you have bought a nice car.

Kind regards and welcome to the site!!

Welcome, and what an excellent looking car to start your Minor journey. Are you doing anything next weekend? It's the Club's National Rally at Kelmarsh Hall (just off the A14 near Market Harborough). It would be a great couple of days to come and meet fellow owners, see what people do with the cars, and bottom out the colour question. Hope to see you there. For seeing the original paint colour, you could try looking at places that might not have been sprayed - behind the dashboard, behind wooden trim panels, etc.

Thanks to all you helpful people.... I am hoping to keep this car for a very long time.

So will sort out the old stables that was on our run down property to be its new winter and bad weather home.

Yes I think smoke grey is the colour too!
