Hi Guys
Can I use the engine from the above to put in a Minor please? And if so what else would you grab please? Gearbox, prop, rear axle, etc.
Thanks
Rich

If you have enough skill/patience and welding gear - anything is possible.....but is it worth it for a miserable 1500 engine? The usual mod is to fit an MGB engine if determined to go the B series route. The B engine is of course HEAVY - so suspension changes may be necessary. The worthwhile parts from a W 1500 are the BRAKES (obviously!) the rear axle complete. the horn and the battery.....wheels too are identical to a Minor.

Hi
Thanks for the reply. I wasn't sure what engine was in it. Useful tip on the rear axle. I am looking to upgrade to the 1275 and wondered whether the 1500 was a better route. But as I currently have a 948cc I need to upgrade gearbox and rear axle as well.

I think that you will find a 1275 engine quite adequate for your needs
