Car can be left for weeks in garage and starts well, however drive up the road for a few miles and stop the car, try to start the car but battery seems flat and cannot turn the engine, leave the car few a few hours and the battery is fine.
could this be something else rather than the battery. ( a jump start works well as this problem happens ).

Check and clean all battery and earth terminals and check that the earth strap to the gearbox is good. I added an earth strap to the engine and it cured my intermittent starting.

Is the engine tightening up? Can you turn it easily on the handle when it refuses to start?
