Rear brake cylinder size?

Hi

My morris is a 1957 model so should have 7/8" bore. I am currently changing the passenger side as it has siezed.
How could you tell what size is currently fitted to the car, without dismantling and measuring the bores. I don't want to order a 7/8" bore and find out the drivers side is 3/4" bore :o for all I know they may have been replaced and not be identical now 8)

I suppose the best thing would be to change them both but there £32 each plus VAT

Cheers

Easy enough to pop the rear drums off - lift the shoes and pull out the external handbrake piston to measure it! And while in there - just free it off and smear it with red grease before refitting! Job done !!

I have to 'unstick' the rear cylinders every year when I get my Trav out of hibernation. Although I'm hoping the red grease I applied this year will help to keep them moving.

The pattern rear cylinders are fine as they are made the same as the originals so I would order 2 of them and put them on for less then the price of one, you may as well bleed both up at once and not have to do it again soon.

The pattern front arent a good job and I wouldnt use them.
