Numberplate restoration

I have had the paint removed from my black and silver numberplates and in the process the silver has lost its shine. I have some of the sanding disks left over from stripping the paint and this has brought back a small bit of the shine and so I was just wondering if anyone could recomend something that would polish the aluminium.

You may want to clear coat it after polishing.

Yes very good for cleaning bright metal (non painted) & especially good for removing staining from lathe beds as it does not scratch the metal; instead of autosol I use either 3 in 1 oil or WD 40 as the lubricant :D
