Sounds like the dad is p***ed off but things could have been a LOT worse.

Hope 'son' doesn't go on to be a helicopter pilot...... 
Colin used to fly over my house regularly - and crashed just a few miles away when 'showing off' to his son's wee pal...... I warned my daughter when she passed her Test - that one of her schoolmates would be killed in a car accident, and to make sure it wasn't her. She took the warning to heart, and indeed sadly, one of her classmates was indeed killed within the year in a self driving car smash. 10 years on, I still worry about her - but she is a good/careful/competent driver.
