Don't seem to have a temp sender (or the facility for one) on my 950 engine......wanted to fit a temp gauge too.

Here is how I fitted mine on a 948 engine,

There is no place on a 948 engine for a sender, they only added it to the 1098 engine.

I wouldn't worry, that's the beauty of a Minor no gauges to cause one any panic. A couple of warning lamps is enough, leave the gauges to performance cars!

Capillary......how does that work, then? Where do you fit the "probe" part?

The dual oil pressure/water temp gauge as fitted to MGs for years. Midgets had them so they do work well with A series engines. The capillary pipe is fragile though. When fitting it to the head use loads of copper grease.

What will you do with a 'bypass' hose?
