Hi folks,
I used to be a member. I had a '68 1098, sold it a few years ago. Well, the bug has bitten me again. Lol.
I've just bought a '53 splitty. No mirrors on it, though. I've noticed that lovely green car on the homepage has a mirror drilled through the chrome door top. Anybody know where I could buy one of these?

It's my Daughter's car. Try Bull Motif part no. MIR101/102. Note. If you're buying a pair reverse them (the driver's side on the passenger side) etc .this makes them more adjustable. Take the stainless steel triangle off the car and clamp it to a vice to drill. Fit the mirror and then fit to car.

Hi,
As above, 'Convex' gives you a better field of vision than flat glass.
Best wishes,
Mike.

Well.....drilled a nice hole in the quarterlight. Woe is me, the threaded part on this mirror is too short. It doesn't go all the way through to the inside. Can't do up the nut.

the only hole is on the outside bit of metal so the thread only has to go through a couple of mm

I don't get it.....you can't slide the little triangle back on to the frame with the nut in place......can you?

Ah.....brute force! you should have said. lol. They're on now, and they seem pretty functional.
I would never have thought of swapping left for right....they are wing mirrors after all. Just need to find a grommet to blank an unwanted hole on the driver's side.
