Distinguishing an Unleaded Mini Head

I'm going to a scrappy on Friday which has a couple of Minis in, (A "T" reg and a much more recent "G" reg); if one (presumably only the later one) is a mini 1000, what are the chances of it being unleaded? Are there any identifying marks that'd allow me to tell what flavour it is before taking it off and looking at valve inserts?
And is there anything else I should remove at the same time?

Kate, have a look at:
http://www.miniresource.com/engine.htm
According to that they changed to unleaded in '89. So the G plate one might well be unleaded.
Don't think you can use much else as the dizzy is different (A+).... but the pre-A+ T-reg one might have a useful dizzy.
The carbs make a good Moggy upgrade but get the manifold as well. If you want to remove the 'cast iron manifold hotspot' then you'll need 2 manifolds to saw into so get both.
Not much else springs to mind...........

Kate,
I picked upa G Reg Mini Metro head at the scrappy for a £10 and it was already fitted with hardened valve seats. Just needed cleaning up, checked for cracks and warping. The only difficulty is that there is no outlet for the bypass hose or valve for the heater but these are no problem to sort out. It depends on how dirty you want to get but I took the spin on/off oil filter housing and don't forget the bolts as this makes an easy conversion for the Morris and i think it cost £2.00.
Hope this helps, Jeff
