Fitting a A+ 1275

Hi all,

Can anyone in the know tell me what's involved in replacing a 1098 with a A+ 1275? For example are all the 1098 ancillaries compatible with the 1275... distributor, carb etc.

Cheers,

Chris.

Hi Chris is you look at my previous posting it will give quite a few clues, but is based on a Midget engine rather than the Ital.

If you retain the original carb and manifold you will restrict it quite a bit, and the matching distributor for the engine is also best, you will aslo need flywheel mods etc, if you get a copy of Owen Burtons book Marina to Minor most of it is explained in there, although its not foolproof.

Best using the A+ ancillaries as the carb is better and the dizzy won't fit!!
