Triumph TR7 engine gearbox axle to a minor???

I'm considering installing a 2.0 engine 5speed gearbox and axle from a Triumph TR7 and was wondering if anyone has done this before. Thanks Stevie
I've been (not very seriously) considering fitting an A series into my TR7....
