Standing Down

Hi everyone.
Shortly I will be standing down as a moderator. This is due to a lack of time and becasue I feel I no longer have any benefit from being a member of the MMOC (I have only renewed in the past 2 years as in order to be a moderator you need to be a member of the MMOC for liability purposes...).
So, thanks to those of you who have offered support and those who have made it interesting here!
Oh and I will be hanging around, but not as a greeny

Sorry to see you leave as a moderator.
You always appeared to moderate with a "light touch" which helps to keep a happy forum
Do you remember we used to have a website rally.............

I can well understand that Matt - hope you do stick around though! Leaves v few 'active' Mods - one on the list is 'never' seen these days - so the load on the others will soon mount up. Thanks for your always very 'sensible' efforts Matt!

yes a sad day on here,we all liked your way on handling delicate matters and appreciated your style of moderating,but time and tide move on and perhaps we will see you back here again in a few years once you have more time on your hands,,, good luck

I do remember the website rallies.
At the first one (at Gaydon) I got wreck of the rally.
With regards to not getting anything from the club, i don't have a minor on the road, I am not a branch member and don't have any interaction with the club - except the mags which I don't have time or inclination to read... Basically it has got to the point where I am paying purely to do work (moderating) for the club.
I am also at the point where I am trying to pay off debt and get enough saved within 2 years to get a deposit to buy a house, so not renewing membership is part of a rationalisation of my outgoings. I used to belong to a number of car clubs and the MMOC hung on the longest!
And thanks for the comments, I have done my best to try and keep most of the people happy most of the time
edit: just noticed... I have been a member of the site for over a decade now
