Bypass tube in the cylinder head removal

Hi is it possible to remove the old tube with
out removing the cylinder head?????

Very difficult but not impossible if you remove the water pump.
No doubt someone on here will tell us how to do it.
Perseverance is what you will need as well as the new parts.

I reckon impossible...it's difficult enough even with the head off and upside down on the bench in front of you!

If the tube needs to come off - it's because it's rotten.....there's no chance without seeing what you are doing... It's only a 20 minute job to pop the head.......

My preference would be to remove the head but that was not the question!

The only time I did it, it was necessary to weld in a 10mm steel rod which had been bent at 90°. Lots of heat and a long extension pipe on the steel rod was required to shift it. It is not easy to remove by any means as it's usually rotten and breaks up as soon as you touch it.
