How I bought my Moggy!

Post by FluffedUp »

Hi all,
It's my first post here. To start with I'd like to thank you all for some very interesting/helpful posts on this forum.
I have only been an owner of what I have discovered to be an amazing car for a couple of weeks or so. I bought my moggy after a night on the beer which ended with eBay and I bought it! It's not the first time I've done this. I also have a '73 VDub camper! Either I have been very lucky or the under the influence me buys cracking cars!
I have a '69 4 door saloon. Only 5 previous owners. I bought it with the plan of making it perfect and passing it on to my daughter once she passed her test. She's only 15 1/2 at the moment so plenty of time yet. I'm wishing I'd not said she could have it. I have well and truly fallen in love once more.
I can understand why some folk buy a car from the year they were born. My Misses has done this with her Beetle. I have just had a 'This car was meant for me' moment'. If a pregnancy last for exactly nine months my Moggy was first registered on the day I was conceived!
Isn't it funny these thoughts that float through my head?

Hi,
Possible options:
If your daughter loves you she'll let you keep it :D ................
Or, as you have time, keep this one for yourself and buy her another, when you can afford to / have finished doing this one up.........
Best wishes,
Mike.
1954 Series 2: 4 door: "Sally" -- Back on the ground with (slave) wheels, now being sprayed by me, slowly......
1970 Triumph Herald 1200: "Hetty" -- Driven back from Llangollen in Wales (twice.....)
1952 Morris Minor MM highlight with sidevalve engine still fitted, wants work, so joins the queue for now......
