Hi, I am a new member and getting to grips with my Morris Minor Convertible 1959.

Somebody told me that the radiator fan would normally have had two separate blades for use in the winter and then these were rotated to cover each other in the winter, hence only showing one blade. Can anybody confirm if this is true.

Thanks

You would certainly not need extra cooling in Winter - It is possible to use two blades on the pulley but a single bladed one should provide all the cooling you would ever need.
As ever it is your choice though and welcome to the forum. :D

No, it isn't true. Just the one blade.

FYI

All Australian SII and 1000 Minors came out of the factory with two blades.

Probably a very good idea for the temperatures you get in NSW,
but for the UK one blade is the Norm or the Bruce.. :D :D
