Hi
The driver window on my 2 door saloon seems to have jammed almost all the way down. I tried pushing quite hard on the winder as it seemed to be slowly getting back up but now it seems to have given up and the winder just turns on itself. What would be the easiest way to fix this?
Thanks
Stanley

You'll need to look inside the door - maybe it has just wedged slightly in the runners and you can straighten it up - and then lubricate the runners..

The winder mechanism or arm is probably bent/damaged now so will need replacing. It is a bit of a faff but can be done in a couple of hours or so with some care.
Remove the door/window handles and gaskets nd also the door pull then use a flat blade screwdriver to prize the trim away from the door. Once you have it started you can pull the rest of the panel off by hand. You should now be able to see the window inside the door itself and see what is going on. To replace the winder mechanism you need to unclip the winder arm from the channel in the bottom of the window. I THINK it can just be done without having to remove the door top but it is a wee bit fiddly (the door top is held in place by a series of bolts and plates in the door itself. If doing this lay a towel in the bottom of the door because you almost certainly will drop bolts/washers/nuts into the bottom of the door and, once there, they are a pain to get out) . If buying a new/SH winder be aware that they are handed so you need to buy the right side. good luck
