Dear All,
My first posting on here and actually my first foray into the world of Morris.
We have a Morris 16/6, 1935 series 2, 4 door (in pieces) but no frame/chassis. We understand that this was the wooden chassis one but it has all rotted away. No problem to actually recreate this out of wood however we dont have any of the dimensions for this.
Does any one know of anyway to obtain the blueprints, plans or... that might have this info in them so we could get started on this project?
Any comments much appreciated.
Thanks

Welcome to the messageboard. As this is a site for post war Morris Minors you may get a better response from The Morris Register which is for pre-1940 Morris vehicles: http://morrisregister.co.uk/

I am not aware of any Morris having a wooden chassis. There used to be several 14/6 etc in our local scrapyard and they were all steel chassis - long gone now though.dpsub1 wrote:Hi Louise,

A useful contact for spares is Ian Harris - search google for Ian Harris morris spares and you should find him.

Re: Morris 16/6 1935
Could our poster be getting confused by the fact that these cars had a wooden floor (plywood and over an inch thick if my memory serves me right)? One often sees Morgans being referred to as having a "wooden chassis" when in fact they have a wooden body-frame but the chassis is (and always has been) steel.

Yes all, sorry, not the chassis. Its just wooden framed and a trifle hard to find much info on this.

Thanks, i will try this.
