Stealth Electronic Ignition conversion

I've taken the plunge and decided to try out the internal add-on electronic ignition for my 25D dizzy installed in my Traveller.
The original dizzy was taken off, last year, and an Accuspark modern copy "Lucas" 25D was fitted (see below)[frame]

I've now cleaned up and "refurbished" the dizzy that came with the 1098cc engine (that had been fitted in 1986).
I've taken out the new replacement points and condenser and replaced them with a Stealth electronic unit. This dizzy was then installed, yesterday, as a complete swap out. I've marked this unit's HT leads with GREEN tape, and kept the complete repro unit with is RED tape markings[frame]
[/frame] You can see the additional red wire that now goes to the +ve connector on the Coil.
When the engine was fired up it ran, but sounded quite retarded. I've advanced it a bit, about 8 degs of rotation (using sound feedback only) and on the following picture showing the "insides", you can just make out that the vacuum A/R unit is now faciling a bit more forward towards the front of the engine.[frame]

Road test was good. Seems smoother running, although I can now hear a "ticking" sound coming from the Dizzy/Coil area with the bonnet raised, on "tick over" (no pun intended).
Only time will tell if my MPG improves (one of the claims made). The Accuspark complete 25D assembly is now the spare (kept in the back of this Traveller).
The position of the vacuum unit, on the non-electronic Dizzy, has been marked on the adjacent oil pipe, just in case I need to put it back in a hurry.
Has anyone else performed this change and found improved MPG and smoother running?
I've now got my eye on a +ve Earth version for the DKY4HA dizzy on my Side-valve '51 saloon.
Regards,
George.
