Best paint match for Almond Green

Post by cheshiremorris »

Hi guys

Im trying to blend in a section at the rear of the morris that has a bit of surface tin worm and was wondering wheres the best place to go to get a very good colour match. Bull Motiff sell it in rattle cans , has anyone tried this ? Im trying to avoid the 2 tone look which often happens when the colour match isnt very close. Im in Stockport can anyone recommend anywhere ? Rattle cans or cellulose is fine most important is the match I dont want it sticking out like a sore thumb. Happy to travel to somewhere localish who will mix it and match to my body colour - do they have special machines now they place on the body and the computers do the rest ?
Also while im on is it advisable to underseal the floor pan under the carpets Im trying to give it an extra layer of protection or to you think the underseal will create fumes in the cabin ? Cheers Mark

The Bull paint is good ,how old is the paint on the car now? .If original has now faded ,I would have thought ,an excellent paint shop might have a machine that matches colour.......good luck :D
Cheers Alex

Take a paint sample e.g. a glove box lid to a car paint factors and they can match it and some can make rattle cans. Halfords did quite a good rattle can match on my car before I had it sprayed. The BM paint is a good match but when I used this I could see the difference in shade just depends on how fussy you are about this.

The rattle can will be fine - but be prepared to spray the whole panel - not just a local repair...
