Chas Wright Numberplate?

Hi all,
I'm in the process or restoring my front number plate as I didn't want to just get a new one when the original is still solid.
On sanding down the bottom of the plate, there is a stamp with "Chas Wright Ltd." Does anyone know if this was a dealer or perhaps a number plate supplier? I still have the original dealer stamp on the dashboard of sycamores of Peterborough so I'm a little intrigued...
Thanks

Number plate supplier, fitted to most post '71 PO vans with reflective
plates - either black or silver edging.
"CHAS-WRIGHT"(BSAU145 1967)
How sad am I, book even covers number plates?!

Btw, I am NOT interested in your "Bay City Rollers" singles' collection,
NOR do I seek "Marc Bolan's Greatest Hits" - besides, he only wrote 3
songs and subsiquent hits were a variation of those 3!!
She lives on the coast, and is faster than most...Hoo hoo hoo
Inspiring stuff

Hubcaps to you. Inspiring? that's an unusual christian name. I thought Endeavour was bad enough!

My 1970 Traveller also has Chas Wright alloy number-plates, although they were originally white (front) and yellow (rear) before I resprayed them black/silver.
My car was originally registered in Middlesex (MF suffix).
