New to the Morris Minor World

Hello all
For many years I've wanted a Traveller and today I've finally bought one. It does need a lot of work, however I'm not put off.
I live near Evesham and luckily own a garage in Bromsgrove with my Husband.
The Traveller I've bought is a 1970 and I wondered if firstly, someone could tell me how I can research the history of the car.
As soon as I've got the car home I will of course take pictures and post up on here.

Welcome to the forum! You can get the ownership history from DVLA for a small payment, and the 'Production' details from Heritage - either by visiting and looking up the records - or by a payment and they will send you what they have and a 'Certificate' .

Thank you both.
The registration doesn't show on the DVLA Database so its making things a little more difficult. I will contact Heritage

MAY be an Adderley Park built example - does the chassis
number have an "F" suffix?
These can be identified by their body numbers
Think 1257425 was the last Cowley built Traveller(?)

Heritage will give you all the build details except if it was built at Alderley Park where the records were destroyed, but not the registration as this was issued after the car left the factory. Unless they have been subsequently informed of the registration and have added it to their records

You will have to apply to DVLA for a V5c then! Do you have any 'ownership' documents for the car - old MOTs - that sort of thing to be able to prove to DVLA that the car is genuine?

I do have records of post 1257xxx Travellers with M suffixed
chassis numbers(?).
Collecting vehicle details does pick up inconsistancies!
Are any of these Minor books accurate?!
