extremely weak spark
The spark on my morris project was pretty good, but I went out today after a few days of not working on it, and the spark is barely there. I can easily hold the spark plug wire and touch the spark plug with my finger, and only barely feel the spark. Under the distributor cap, I get spark between those two points, and it looks semi-weak there as well. I replaced the coil, just for good measure, and because it was cheap, but there is no difference.

Re: extremely weak spark
Is there any life in the battery and is 12 volts getting to the coil?
You can mimic the action of the distributor by taking a wire from the points side of the coil and tapping it on the block.

It's NEVER the coil - put the old one back on... As above - make sure there is good voltage in the battery...after that - it IS the condenser. Change it - even if it was a 'new' one......
