Door hinge bolt head size?

Tried to change a door yesterday, haven't got a socket that fits!

1/2" too small, 9/16" too big. Does anyone know what size they are?

I have googled it but can only find the 5/16" BSF thread size not the bolt head.

1/4 Whitworth.
Most useful spanner/socket on Minor bodywork.
