Drum Brake Adjustment

Post by David53 »

Quick question - when backing off the adjusters after locking the wheel up do you need to get it so that the wheels spins completely freely, or is it ok to have the shoes brushing a little?

I always leave them brushing slightly - the high spot that's rubbing soon wears away! But so saying - I tend to leave the rears one notch loose - so the pistons are kept moving and don't seize up.
