See they're available for just over 100 rips each...front and rear.
Anyone got one, either or both?
How big a mither and expense is involved I wonder?
Desperately need to sort out the constant misting up problems when it's raining...most of the time.

If the carpet is damp misting is much worse, better to takes it out then find any leaks.
Dirty glass mists up more easily too, try cleaning just the front and rear screens thoroughly, a chamois leather does a good job.
Leave the side rear windows so you can see the difference.

Glass never gets chance to get dirty, as it's constantly having the condensation wiped off!
Heater doesn't seem to have any directional control towards the screen.
Carpets dry and interior smells of....LEATHER.
Opening the 1/4 lights helps...a bit.

Just get a better heater! And a winter thermostat - and consider removing the fan if the car doesn't do heavy traffic But you then have to manage the engine temperature carefully. Are you SURE the carpets are dry - put your hand under all the carpets and feel...... Also look under the rear seat for water ingress... The screens will need to be fitted...bad enough fitting a front screen without cracking it - but the rear screen is a nightmare. I would not attempt to fit either myself - and you would need new rubbers for both..... And an alternator...

This has been covered before - search for similar threads to get a balanced view. For those of us who use our cars every day and have heated screens, we wouldn't be without them; fantastic when there is frost about - the front screen clears in under a minute, and does not re-ice.

I agree! My modern has heated screens - and they are great. All I say here is - balance the cost of screens+ new rubbers + professional installation (+ alternator if you don't have one) - against the benefits...... and for an 'every day' car it may well be worth the cost! Oh - and don't ever use both screens at same time, clear the front screen first and then switch over to the rear screen for a few minutes. A two-way switch will be a good idea - and timer in case you forget........

^^^^^^ spot on ,but even worth the time and effort if you drive thru' the winter say one or twice a week,'cause when you need to see clearly ……………….better than guessing whats behind you even if it is pantomime season
ps real pains to fit especially the rear one….don't ask how i know

Sorry disagree - Jon & Son in Law fitted my heated screen in under half an hour.

Going to get a better heater as suggested I think, and then take it from there.
Difficult to swap on a scale of 1 to 10?

If you are doing a straight swop just fiddly. Regarding your misting up problems have you checked the hoses that supply to the front screen vents are properly connected? Sometimes this is the cause for misting up.

Nope. Will do now though. Tar.
No directional switch on this antiquated thing I note.
Seems to just waft either stinking hot or cold air out from some unknown random hidden mysterious source.

As above - get them to fit your screens !

But if they crack them....who pays?
