Near side light switch wire has gone into door pillar cavity, where can I pick this up from? Wire is very short and came off when removing switch, goodness me I said

Wait until the bottom of the A post has rusted out and you should be able to retrieve it through the hole

Take out the glove compartment first. Then straighten a wire coat hanger and feed it in the hole the door switch came out of and point it upwards and you should be able to feel the end of the coat hanger at the top. Then use it to drag a new length of wire in if the old wire is too short to retrieve.

Found it ok after removing passenger glove box, real prob was a short somewhere so removed drivers glovebox and found the it as per the pic below. The interior light only worked manually and the brown/black wire had been disconnected. All working ok now - apart from nearside indicators so must have dislodged a connector somewhere. Solve one prob and create another![frame]

It looks to me that the brown connector has been shorted by the self tapping screw going into it!
