Morris Minor Owners Club

Greetings,

Having recently been converted from a Landy owner to a moggy owner (my son has a 1968 2 door - he is the second owner) I am 'enjoying' the challenge of putting a slightly tired Boris (was Doris), 1965 Traveller in Almond Green to rights.

One thing neded is to sort out the rear door seals as there were some missing. I can't find a clear guide to exactly what goes on where as regards the door frames and the doors.

Spotted the flat rubber on someones post today, but please can anyone help me with what goes where on the rest?

Looking forward to getting along to our local club (East Kent?) once Boris is driveable again ( and once my son's is back from ESM).

Welcome to the forum, and congratulations on your choice of vehicles, both previous and current

You will find most suppliers offer a quadrant "rubber" extrusion. There is a solid version and a hollow one that is softer. Personal choice as to which you use. The rubber is used to fit into the right angle in the wood, where the door recess is. It goes right the way round the opening, all four sides, and is held in place with glue such as Evostick. Another piece runs down the vertical edge of the door that sits just inside the other, where the door join. The very top is trapped in place by a small metal plate. Hopefully someone will be along with photos.

Can I recommend a book "Morris Minor Traveller" by Ray Newell, it contains everything that you will need to know, and is available form Club Merchandise.

I have got plenty of the quadrant (hollow version) already, and have ordered some of the flat rubber that goes between the doors. I should be able to follow your description, but some photos would be most welcome too!

It will depend on the gap in your doors, I found the triangular one too big for my doors, it wouldnt let them close so I used a flat rubber on the sides and middle and the triangular one on the top and bottom of the doors.
