Looking for a MM enthusiast (dealer?) near Poole/Dorset

Post by rotgnom »

Hi there,

I'm looking for a man who sold me some Wolseley front brakes last autumn at Beaulieu. He is from the Poole/Dorset area and seems to restore Minors and maybe sells Minors as well.

Unfortunately I have lost his name and contact details.

But I'm pretty sure that someone on this board will know him as I met him at the Morris Minor Owners Club tent where he was well known.

Nothing to worry about. I just need some information.

Many thanks for any help making contact again.

Achim

Hi Achim

Do you know if his name was Steve Loder. If you think it was I should be able to get his details for you.

Any problem with finding new shoes for these brakes - then be aware the rear brake shoes for the later (5 speed gearbox) Triumph TR7 are very similar, easily modified to fit - and are often relatively inexpensive on UK ebay. :)

Hi Roy,
I heard you talking about that before and will collect these TR7 shoes at an MG meeting in the Netherlands tomorrow. :D
Before fitting the W brakes I have to wait a few weeks because the "pair" of brakes I found in Beaulieu consisted of two RH brakes. But will get the right backplate very soon.
