Hi there I was wondering if any one knows if I can some how make the indicator lights on my 1960 Morris Minor brighter and easier to see making them safer for me and other drivers any advice is greatly welcomed thank you. Tez.

First thing to check is that the bulbs haven't blackened at all. Then polish the reflectors and clean the lens. Clean all the bullet connectors and renew any corroded sleeves to make sure the lamps are getting all their power.

You can make a collar of 'chrome' plastic material (ex food packing) and tuck that behind the bulb ..and of course - scrub the lenses clean inside and out. Perhaps new bulbs would be a good idea? Also check if the battery volts are ok - with engine running it should be ~ 13.5/13.7 volts.

It remains to be seen if the LED conversions are any brighter - I would have thought a single COB LED would be a better bet rather than several small LEDS? And of course - if doing this for indicators, then an electronic flasher unit is needed = more expense!
