Morris Minor Owners Club

You people are the experts.I have no.1000014 with log book.I'm not sure any exist nearer to the production number of the actual one which went to Bradburn and Wedge in Chapel Ash,Wolverhampton so long ago.
It is in need of total rebuild-but what a labour of love!
My question to you all is "what might it be worth?"

It will depend on how well the rebuild is done, if it is done well then the cost will unlikely be returned if you sell. So if you're only interested in what it will make, which your question implies, then probably not feasible on those grounds.

Have you seen the book Morris Minor One in a Million? It lists chassis no 14 as being sold from Caffyns, Meads Road, Eastbourne on 17/3/61 though the reg isnt noted against it.

I 'found' a million that had been in storage from the 70s but the owners didnt want to sell only for it to change hands about 4 times in the next couple of years. I did get to drive it though once it was back on the road . It is a local Northern ireland car and one of only 2 known to be left that were originally sold here. It was last sold on ebay about 3 years ago moted and in good condition for about £6k. I think prices have increased a lot since then though.

I understand the "specialness" of MILLION MINOR but who is responsible for the awful colour ?

To be worth 'good' money the rebuild will need to be pretty much perfect - which won't be inexpensive. But as others have said - we need pictures! If you just want to sell it on as it is - then a well publicised sale on ebay is the way to find it's true value!

Post a few pics showing condition, no paperwork but one assumes you have all the ID plates

Original 9MH 49xxxx/50xxxx engine?

Will effect the value if going the Concours route.

As Russ says, all 4 id plates should be present, along with the big
3 mechanicals and matching key numbers.

Do you have a BMIHT Certificate for it?

The Value of “Millions” have increased because a certain wealthy but good to do individual and been able to out bid everyone on Ebay etc for his collect now around 6 to 8. So I have seen absolute wrecks go for 4k plus and therefore average ones are 10k and completely rebuilt concours Millions been valued at 20k………………but hadn’t been for this wealthy individual this would be not be the case . Surly the whole point is if you want to restore a Million it’s because they are relatively rare and worth keeping for the love of Morris Minors, we are the caretakers!
The lilac we now know was chosen by Jack Field’s wife after a discussion over the Sunday Roast ( Story supplied at the NEC this year by his granddaughter ……………we Millionaires love the colour and our Sunday Roast !!

So I have seen absolute wrecks go for 4k plus and therefore average ones are 10k and completely rebuilt concours Millions been valued at 20k……

At the end of the day, as someone has already pointed out, these are basically a lilac two door.

£4K for a wreck and then prices heading up to £20K???

I love Moggies but I think some people must have more money than sense here...................
