Bonnet details

The fit of the bonnet too the wings on our 1971 Traveller appears to be better on the nearside than the driver side, basically a significantly larger gap as well as the line of the edge to the wing at the rear is also larger.
I understand bonnets did differ as the Minor progressed during production, but with regards too the later 1098 models were they all the same irrspective of if was fitted to a traveller/car or commercial?
Is this difference in gap normal as the chassis apopears to be untouched so original?

Yes the gap is normal, and anyone who has spent ages trying to re align a bonnet will know that you cant improve on it that much! I would leave well enough alone :D

You can try loosening the hinge fixings and moving it around a little - but take care you don't snap the hinges! Also worth checking if the front lock is perhaps pulling it out of line as it latches down .....
