I have got the wider van wheels for my van and they are currently on 165 x 14 tyres. My '71 Pick Up have the wider van tyres as well but are on 175 x 14 tyres. What are the standard tyres size for radials? Also what tyre pressure should I be running these on for the van (currently 26 front and 28 rear) and the same for the Pick Up. (See my message in the LCV register forum under the importance of a MOT to understand why I am asking these questions) Any advice greatly appreciated. Thanks Andrew

If you're on standard 4 1/2 inch 8cwt van/pickup wheels use 155 x 14 tyres. Your pressures seem ok.

Yes - 155 is the max width for 4.5J wheels.

I have the wider wheels from ESM on my pickup, with 155 80 14 Toyo tyres at 30 pressure all round, and it seems just about as good as it gets.

Thanks for everyone's input. I think I will change them to 155 x 14. Any particular brands to be recommended? Cheers

Don't think you'll have a great choice now.

Toyo or Nangkang seem to be the most popular choices for 155/14 tyres.
