How do I know it's an unleaded head?

Hi, just got my first Minor. Does anyone know how I can positively tell if it has been converted to use unleaded petrol? I'm using additive for now to be on the safe side.

Thanks

If the car did not come with proof that the head has been done, the only way is to remove the head and pop a valve and have a look at the seat where you can see if the hardened seat has been fitted, on some heads it is just possible to see the insert without the removing a valve but dont rely on it.

If the previous owner had the head converted, then I would expect they should have kept the receipt, or failing that at least told you it was done and when.
If they give the "I'm not sure but I think so" answer then I tend to be a bit untrusting of that.

I am with you there I always take that to mean no, if you had paid to have it done I think you would remember the bill even if you lost it.
