After getting a completely uncalled for abusive PM tonight - that's another one on my naughty 'list'. Up to 4 now !

Is it only members that can send PMs? WHY WOULD THEY DO THIS IF THEY ARE SO EASILY TRACED?

PMs are not seen by Mods. It's a 'Private Message' and it really is Private.

Sorry to read about your abusive P.M. Roy I don't come on here as often as I used to for the same reason although mine was for all to see not a P.M. and completely uncalled for I can do without this nonsense from a site that's supposed to be all in the same boat / interest after all that's what twitter,facebook and the other social media are for from what I've heard it's a shame that type of behaviour is migrating to this site.

I'm not 100% convinced that PMs cant be read by the mods.A couple of years ago I was sending and receiving them whilst negotiating to buy a car.I used the "F" word(as I do in conversation like a lot of people)just in the course of the discussion and the word was removed.
I welcome any comments from the mods.

It would be removed 'automatically'.... not by anyone reading it.

Yes, we definitely can't read anyone's PM's, and there is an automatic 'profanity filter' in place. Not good to hear that people on here are being abusive to other members via PM but if we receive a complaint we will look into it.
