What's a CD ?? Sort of spinning memory chip?? Better use something where you plug in a card - or a USB stick... But you'll never hear it anyway when the engine is running! Pretty much anything will need the car to be -ve earth....is it?

you will need to isolate any neg-earth player, and feed directly from the battery with a fuse, fitting one is very easy ,where to put it is a little harder, for ideas try a google search for morris minor radios ,plenty of ideas there

If you fit a cd player hide it from view behind the glove box lid.
Hide the speakers at floor level or under the seats.
Old Morris locks are an easy target.
While on the subject of security, fit a disklok 42cm wide for a standard steering wheel.
Money well spent.

Iv been told my car is still pos earth so need to change it over at some point. Altough i thought it was already changed over because surely the battery only goes in on way?
