leaf springs

Post by qwerty165 »

I may require some leaf springs for my car and from the The Morris Minor catalogue it states that
7-leaf spring [are used for] early saloons and travellers
and so I was just wondering if anyone could tell me how early is an early saloon?

Very early - but it was not the same 7 leaf as was fitted later to the Traveller. The early 7 leaf had thinner leaves - I doubt you will get them anywhere now. It does appear (from your next post) that the car has been fitted with heavy duty LCV springs - possibly with one leaf removed since they are originally 8 leaf springs.....

Okay thank you for that information, it gives me a starting point for looking into it further.
